A landslide was the probable cause of a train derailment in Argyll, Scotland, on 6 June, British Transport Police have said.
Large boulders have been found on the track where the Glasgow to Oban Scotrail train derailed and caught fire, leaving two carriages perched over a 15m embankment.
A British Transport Police spokesman said there was nothing to suggest criminality.
UK rail operator Network Rail said the line is likely to be closed for a week as the investigation takes place and the two 40t carriages are removed.
