Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori (NTV) said its AGV-model high-speed train service will begin operating in Italy from September 2011.
The new fleet will consist of 25, 11-coach trains with a speed of nearly 360km per hour, according to the company.
The company has purchased the 200m-long high-speed trains from the French-based company Alstom, which are currently under construction in France and Italy.
NTV's commercial service is expected to reach nine Italian cities and 12 stations.
The Italy-based company said it will be offering additional features such as Wi-Fi internet and live television on the trains.
