The New South Wales (NSW) State Government in Australia has released a draft study on an A$500m ($440m) light rail expansion through Sydney's Inner West.
The draft says the government will extend the light rail network by 10km as a part of its Metropolitan Transport Plan.
After the expansion of the rail network, passengers will be able to travel to Circular Quay from Dulwich Hill through Inner-West and Sydney CBD.
The government expects the expansion of the network will improve public transport accessibility for residents and workers.
Construction of the railway extension is expected to begin by the end of the year.
In the first stage, a 5.6km extension to Inner-West will operate from Lilyfield light rail terminus.
The government hopes the expanded rail network will be complete 18 months after the start of construction.
