Aluminothermic rail welding

Thanks to its long experience, Railtech has been a leader in rail welding for many years. Numerous renowned innovations in the industry were designed in our R&D department, such as the one-shot crucible, the self-sealing mould, the hybrid mould and the Safestart®.

We provide all types of solutions for weld rails, crossings and turnouts for high-speed tracks, heavy-haul tracks, and light rail, tramway and crane rails, to cater for the more than 500 different types of rail currently available.

Flash-butt rail welding equipment

We specialise in the design studies and engineering of turnkey projects for flash-butt welding plants and mobile flash-butt welding vehicles.

Our flash-butt welding plants and mobile flash-butt vehicles are in service for a large number of railways, contracting companies and rail manufacturing facilities worldwide.

Rail-welding and track-maintenance equipment

Railtech and MATWELD (US) offer a comprehensive range of equipment for the welding of rails and maintenance of track, including heat engines, self-powered equipment, and electrical and hydraulic-powered machines.

Rail fastening and anchoring systems

Railtech specialises in the design and manufacture of rail fastenings, which include screwed-type designs with AP, RN, G4 and NABLA® flat springs, and self-tensioned clips with SSA and DSA.

In addition to these resilient fasteners, Railtech also has an extensive range of anchoring devices through its ARS department, which specialises in all types of railway track screws and bolts as well as specifically designed GS® dowels for concrete applications.

Rall vibration-dampening devices

The company provides vibration-dampening devices and technology to meet the highest standards, including the booted STEDEF VSB® concept used worldwide for twin-block concrete sleepers, and the rubber-bonded independent block direct-fixation fastener range for conventional track and turnout, plastic baseplates and 'double-egg' concepts.

Third-rail and overhead-line train, tram and trolleybus electrification systems

Railtech designs and supplies vehicle electrification systems for all urban transportation needs, including third-rail (complete aluminium/stainless-steel rail systems including conductor rail and all related components) and customised stingers for depots, rigid catenary for overhead electrification (including a retractable version), overhead tramway lines, trolleybus-mounted equipment (computerised pneumatic pole bases, retrievers and accessories) and people-mover electrification.
