Mobile railcar mover

The Brandt 5500 power unit takes care of material handling needs efficiently and ensures rail operations are on track and on time.

The power unit is rail and road legal and it can convert between the two in three minutes. This fast and easy conversion means you can be on the road to your next job, without wasting valuable track time.

Mobile on-track material handler

The OTM tracker is a mobile on-track material handler designed with your rail needs in mind. It is a converted John Deere excavator with a boom and arm made from high-tensile steel for greater reach and lift.

The tracker moves safely from a highway transport deck to the top of maintenance cars and back again in a matter of minutes. A parallel lift system allows the tracker to get on the top of cars by remote control, allowing the operator to remain on the ground for the transfer. Then the walking beam undercarriage moves the tracker from car to car in minutes.

3028 rail tie loader

The Brandt 3028 rail tie loader is a high-quality engineered-to-order loader that meets a strenuous standard of safety and durability. It is certified as a crane (ASME B30.22-2000 standards) and features low-pressure pilot-operated controls which makes the rail tie loader safe and smooth.

Brandt’s engineering team has created a reliable design with high pressure hydraulics and high tensile steel, making the loader light but powerful.

It is equipped with a continuous rotation ¼ cord grapple with quick disconnect and a boom with a 520° rotation.

Rail yard boss - rail car mover and skid steer loader

The Brandt rail yard boss is an economical railcar mover that can also be used as a skid steer loader, enabling it to handle a diverse range of your toughest tasks.

A shelf coupler means weight from the railcar increases the tractive effort of the rail yard boss, so that it is lighter and easier to transport on the road without compromising tractive effort. Other features of the rail yard boss include a rubber tire drive system on rail, fingertip tractive effort control, and a locomotive train brake system.

The machine has a high level of mobility as it can be transported on a standard skid steer trailer and one ton truck. It is also fast and stable and can travel over rough terrain.
