Versatile train control systems

Our range incorporates versatile control systems which combine cost-effective efficiency with much-needed flexibility. Solutions include WESTCAD, our highly flexible computer-based control and display system, and SystematICS, the first fully integrated supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) management information system specifically designed for rail applications.

Train protection systems

Our protection systems combine an innovative, adaptable approach to provide the highest standards of safety. They include FUTUR, our European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) Level 1 and Level 2 solution, as well as distance-to-go-radio (DTG-R) and communications-based train control (CBTC) systems.

Modular signalling systems

Developed to meet a wide range of applications, our modular signalling solution delivers affordable performance. With WESTRACE interlocking technology at its heart, our approach enables any signalling scheme to be implemented from a small range of core components, providing railway operators with the means of achieving cost-effective performance and reducing both capital and operational costs.

Interlocking systems

In addition to WESTRACE, our vital logic system that is already proven in over 1,200 applications worldwide, our interlocking range includes solid state interlockings (SSIs) and WESTLOCK, our advanced computer-based interlocking solution which delivers significant operational and performance benefits to rail operators.

Level crossing controllers and trackside equipment

Trackside solutions include WESTeX, a pioneering suite of level crossing controllers, including innovative predictor systems which deliver outstanding performance and value for money compared to traditional technology. We also manufacture trackside equipment including LED signals, point machines and a comprehensive range of safety relays.
