Combined rail telecommunication network

UMUX is a hardened multi-service access and transmission system that integrates a variety of applications and interfaces. It provides multiplexing and aggregation as well as optical transport of data in a compact network element, allowing railway companies to consolidate all their telecom requirements on a single telecommunications network made of UMUX systems simply and safely.

The services supported include E&M, traditional POTS/ISDN telephony, local battery interfaces, broadband and narrowband data connections, Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and VoIP applications. With its Ethernet-over-SDH functionality, UMUX combines state-of-the-art Ethernet technology with the deterministic TDM process. Services such as critical IP communication or video surveillance can be provided efficiently, economically and extremely reliably.

UMUX features power-over-Ethernet (PoE+), realizing Ethernet connections in locations without local power, making it suitable for deploying terminal devices such as video cameras, IP telephones, access control systems, wireless access nodes and wireless local networks in remote locations.

Transmission solution for telecontrol / SCADA applications

LineRunner SCADA NG is a versatile and hardened next generation multi-drop system providing an economical and reliable transmission solution of up to 11.4MB/s in telecontrol and automation applications. Due to its flexible network interfaces, LineRunner SCADA NG fits into diverse network infrastructures constituted with copper cables, fibre optic cables and legacy transmission PDH/SDH networks. Data is exchanged over a network of up to 63 stations in a row.

LinerRunner SCADA NG’s supports Ethernet and RS232 user interfaces; it’s perfectly designed for supporting telecontrol and automation data, as well as transporting IP video surveillance and VoIP telephony traffic flows.
