Frauscher Sensortechnik is a manufacturer of components and recognised specialist for inductive sensor technology. It has been developing, manufacturing and delivering inductive sensor systems as well as wheel detection and axle counting systems for a large variety of railway applications since 1986. Inductive sensor technology for railwaysWe strive to ensure a holistic approach to sustainable business development. Under this approach each of our employees, compliance with codes of conduct, social commitment as well as environmental protection are at the centre of our business decisions. As an independent medium-sized company, we make a point of constant innovation, best quality, superior customer support and outstanding service for our products and systems. Our business portfolio includes six major product ranges: wheel detection, axle counting, diagnostics, measuring systems, special sensors and services. Wheel detection systemsFrauscher wheel detection systems are the basis for safe and highly available applications. Component combinations and specific software are selected based on a systematic analysis of functional requirements, customer specifications and deployment conditions. In addition to wheel detection, other information such as speed, wheel diameter and driving direction are safely and reliably detected, and transmitted to superordinate systems (such as axle counters, level crossings, etc.). Axle counting systemsFrauscher's axle counting systems are state-of-art systems of differing generations and functionalities. They comprise customer-specific wheel detection systems and components for counting pulse detection and safe and reliable generation of the clear / occupied message. Our axle counting systems allow optimal integration into any type of interlocking systems. The use of serial interfaces affords especially compact electronic interlocking systems with state-of-the-art, customer-specific and above all economic track vacancy detection. FDS diagnostics systemsWheel detection and axle counting systems are complemented by a vast range of jigs for the analysis and measurement of on-site operating conditions, a diagnostics system, the FDS maintenance tool, and other configuration and read-out tools. The FDS diagnostics system is compatible with all axle counting systems by Frauscher and, in addition to the display of important system information using a web browser, also provides timely transmission of alarms and failure messages via SMS and email. Electromagnetic interference measuring systemsAvailability of wheel detection and axle counting systems depends decisively on the electromagnetic interference at the sensor – vehicle interface. Detection and evaluation of such interferences are the basis for standard EN 50238-3. Frauscher Sensortechnik has used its experience in the field of sensor technology to develop the magnetic noise receiver MNR measuring system, which detects the electromagnetic interferences of vehicles in the 10kHz – 1.3MHz frequency range. Inductive position decoder systemsIn the field of special sensors, Frauscher offers a number of inductive position decoder systems, which are used in a variety of applications as well as in customer-specific joint design applications. The main field of application is points monitoring and diagnostics as well as minimal movement monitoring in industrial sectors, for example, the retaining walls of dams and band saws. Planning, design and installation of inductive sensor systemsBeing a customer-oriented company Frauscher offers a full range of services for all products and systems. This includes both project-specific planning and design as well as installation and start-up support. A wide range of training courses aims at enabling customers to install the system without external assistance and run, maintain and configure the system where necessary. This approach ensures maximum independence from the system vendor and reduction of lifecycle costs.
