MAS-T - the open control and train communication system for rail vehicles

The MAS-T system is used as a control component for a complete train communication network including vehicle bus and train bus applications like locomotives, trams, passenger coaches, urban/regional trains, metros, etc.

The decentralised intelligent concept of MAS-T reduces the complex automation tasks in vehicles into small and easy to handle modules for both the hardware and the software.

The decentralised MAS-T peripheral I/O-modules minimise installation costs while bringing clarity to the wiring and simplifying maintenance.

The serial networking concept is based on CAN technology, and is therefore attractively priced.

The small size of MAS-T modules offers easy installation possibilities, for example in switch cabins, in the roof area or under the seats.

System flexibility is an added asset. The user can carry out modifications and adaptations to train applications quickly and easily.

Symphony® projecting and programming tools are produced in accordance with the IEC 61131-3 industrial standard and offer uniform software tools for project management, for the control system, the communication and the diagnosis.

Extended software libraries with standard and special function blocks facilitate the development, the documentation and the support of user programs.

MAS-T offers open interfaces such as CAN, RS232, Ethernet, MVB and WTB, allowing the easy integration of auxiliary units.

The modular, small size of MAS-T modules offers easy installation possibilities. MAS-T modules are in accordance with EN50155 and EN 50121. Hardware modules are compliant with the SIL2 standard.
