Vibration and noise-reduction resilient beddings

PHOENIX offers effective systems to reduce vibrations and structure-borne noises which are generated by rail traffic. PHOENIX's resilient beddings for grooved rails decouple the track from the adjoining street and houses. Its systems are designed to reduce noise and vibration, to make living near rail tracks more pleasurable.

Rail encapsulation system for embedded rail

The PHOENIX encapsulation system is suitable for straight and curved rail as well as for switches and crossings.

The vulcanized rubber profile can be retrofitted on-site as well as in the factory, and has high insulation properties and great flexibility and longevity even under the severest weather conditions. It can be utilized in any type of surface, e.g. street running, and segregated and grass track.

The base profile can be customised to meet the required deflection.

Noise-reduction trackbed mats

Noise emitted on a railway depends largely on the way the track is bedded. PHOENIX sub-ballast trackbed mats are the best way to quieten a railway. PHOENIX sub-ballast mats consist of ageing-resistant resilient materials chosen specifically to guarantee a long life.

An experienced team of chemical and development engineers has created an extensive range of sub-ballast mats over the years. At the same time, we have developed a range of corner, coupling and cover profiles for an easy installation.

Track-filling and resilient safety profiles

The track-filling safety profiles developed by PHOENIX are suitable for closing gaps in level crossings. They prevent accidents involving cyclists at crossings and at industrial and factory sites. Normal road traffic, such as cars and trucks, is not restricted.

They can also be used for industrial and railway crane rails limited to a maximum speed of 20km/h. PHOENIX track-filling safety profiles have high abrasion and weather resistance.

Sleeper boots with resilient insert

PHOENIX provides resilient sleeper boots with inserts with individual resilience characteristics for straight line / switch sections of track.

This special system for switches with individual stiffness is available for concrete and wooden sleepers, and can be utilized for permanent way constructions as well as for non-ballasted tracks. It is installed as a flexible component between rail and concrete, and vibration shocks will be absorbed.
