Mediterr Shock-Absorbers (MSA) is one of the leading companies in Europe specialising in the design and manufacturing of dampers for railway transport. We are in the international market with two brands, GIMON and MSA, which identify a wide range of yaw shock absorbers (for high-tech and high-speed trains), vertical and horizontal shock absorbers for primary and secondary suspensions (for locos and coaches), inter-car shock absorbers, shock absorbers for pantographs as well as for buses, trucks and trailers and special applications.

Our quality certification UNI-EN ISO 9001:2000 and the welding process carried out according to the German standard DIN 6700 impose strict internal procedures and rigid controls which guarantee the utmost safety and reliability of GIMON and MSA shock absorbers.

Every single shock absorber is tested by computer-assisted and technologically advanced equipment; any data is filed and kept for ten years to ensure the utmost traceability.

The high technology we apply allows us to meet the requirement for a prolonged warrantee. As some customers have required, it may be extended up to six years from the installation in the vehicle, whether coach or locomotive.

Our quality assurance system has been approved by several European companies in the railway sector such as Trenitalia, DB, Renfe and many others.
