New Product Catalogue for Voith Universal Joint Shafts

A completely revised product catalogue describing its line of universal joint shafts is now available from the drive specialist Voith Turbo. The catalogue contains not only technical data on universal joint shafts, but also presents complementing products and services. The operating principle of a universal joint shaft is explained and selection aids assist with choosing the correct shaft from the catalogue.
UNIVERSAL JOINT SHAFTS
Voith universal joint shafts are not simple pieces of machinery, but rather high-tech mechanical products that can transmit torques far in excess of 10,000kNm - this is about 40,000 times the torque generated by the engine in a mid-sized automobile. The largest shafts sometimes weigh more than 50t and have a diameter of 1.3m. Such high-performance universal joint shafts are used primarily in rolling mills in the steel industry. Universal joint shafts from Voith are also found in rail drive lines, paper machines, marine propulsion applications and test stands.
When preparing the catalogue, Voith Turbo incorporated many of the suggestions made by customers. A well-organised presentation of the different shafts in the product line, detailed technical data for use in project planning, cross-references to complementing products and services, explanation of the operating principle of a universal joint shaft and, last but not least, extensive selection aids - this catalogue contains everything needed.
Initially, the booklet will be available in German, English, French, Russian and Chinese. Additional languages will be printed as the need arises.
