Voith Turbo Scharfenberg Refurbishes 230 Couplers

Well before the start of the 2004 Summer Olympics, the commuter trains of the Athens Piraeus Electric Railways (ISAP) will be modernised. Twenty-three trainsets totalling 115 cars be equipped with a new automatic train control.
Voith Turbo Scharfenberg was awarded the contract for the refurbishment of the coupling equipment which is the first large coupler refurbishment contract ever secured.
