Australian fuel management specialist Banlaw, is boosting its presence and capability in Western Australia (WA) and other key markets by opening a new office and appointing two senior managers.
Beau Temby has been appointed regional manager and Rod McIlroy has been appointed business development manager for the Western region. Banlaw's Western region incorporates Western Australia, South Australia, Northern Territory as well as its key current markets of Indonesia, Vietnam and Africa.
Mr McIlroy has more than 30 years experience in the mining industry. He has worked in senior management roles for Caltex, Transpacific Industries Group and ECL Fuelquip. Mr Temby joins Banlaw from its Indonesian distributor PT Fluidcon Jaya. He was project manager and site manager for the $2.5m project to install Banlaw's FuelTrack™ fuel monitoring system in KPC's mine in Sangatta, East Kalimantan.
Banlaw chief executive officer Bill Clifton said that the move into WA will help Banlaw to better serve existing and new clients that are using the company's unique FuelTrack fuel monitoring system and other refuelling products and services. "Demand for our integrated refuelling products is growing rapidly, particularly as fuel prices rise," he said.
The new purpose-built office includes a warehouse and training room. It is located in the industrial area of Malaga, in Perth's north-east. Key Banlaw clients in WA include Barrick Gold, FMG and Rio Tinto.
