Banlaw - Fuel Management Systems for the Railway Industry

Banlaw provides integrated hydrocarbon management systems, products and expert advice to help rail companies to improve their productivity by reducing fuel loss and contamination, as well as ensuring faster, safer refuelling.

Fuel and liquid management for rail vehicles

Banlaw FuelTrack™ is a powerful management tool that helps rail companies save money by providing precise monitoring, reconciliation and centralised reporting of fuel usage or other liquid usage.

The system assists with fuel security, environmental compliance, stock reconciliation, maintenance scheduling, cost analysis, the calculation of burn rates, fuel ordering and rationing as well as compliant measurement for fuel tax credit and carbon trading schemes. It also enables efficient charging of third parties using your refuelling facilities.

Fuel management system for rail vehicles

FuelTrack is ideal for rail companies because it can be customised to suit one or more sites and a mix of vehicles. It is a fully sealed, fully integrated system that is easy to use and administer.

FuelTrack helps with legislative compliance and is accredited by the Australian Government's National Measurement Institute (NMI).

Oil transfer and contamination control fittings for trains

Banlaw LubeCentral™ makes oil transfer (and the transfer of other fluids including greases, detergents, cooling fluids and hydraulic fluids) a clean, efficient and safe operation. The fittings contain a ball-lock latching system for a stronger connection as well as dry-break technology to eliminate spillage.

All fluids can be filled from a central location avoiding the OHS risk of staff climbing over equipment when refilling.

Banlaw's classic and flush-face oil and coolant fittings help with contamination control and increase flow rates. They save money by improving injector life as well as the capital life of equipment.

The flush face range has a push-to-connect system that makes them simple and easy to use, particularly in tight confines. Each size fitting is unique and colour coded to prevent accidental connection.

Automatic tank-overfill protection system for trains

Banlaw Fillsafe™ allows rail companies to save fuel, time and money by ensuring fast, safe refuelling in a sealed environment. Having a completely full tank helps to maximise the cost-efficiency and on-time performance of each train journey.

The system ensures zero overfill, zero tank pressure and zero spillage during refuelling in any environment. Best practice, high-speed refuelling rates of up to 1,000l (264gal) per minute can be achieved with no increase in tank pressure.

Banlaw FillSafe is fully electronic and automatic, making it more reliable than manual systems. It can accommodate various flow rates and has been used successfully on passenger and freight locomotives.

The system also eliminates the risk of OHS issues from manual tank checking as well as the risk of under-filling a tank and spillage.

Refuelling nozzles, recievers, vents and caps

Banlaw manufactures a variety of high-quality nozzles, receivers, vents, caps, as well as a check valve receiver and nozzle holder.

Our Australian-designed and manufactured refuelling components are built to withstand harsh operating environments.

Hydrocarbon management consulting and technical support

Banlaw's technical team provides a complete range of consulting and technical support services to assist in all facets of hydrocarbon management, including programmed maintenance, project and facilities management, fuel use and hydrocarbon use audits and consulting, and diesel flow-meter calibration service.
