Activities of UniControls in Russia and Ukraine

A prestigious award in the contest "Made in Peterburg" has been granted to a new generation metro trainset with asynchronous drive under reference No. 81-553, 81-554 and 81-555, produced by St PeterburgВґs factory Vagonmash, a member of Dedal group.
UniControls designed, produced and delivered the complete control system and traction unit for this trainset. The train is operated by metro Kiev.
The technical solution of these trainsets is similar to trainsets 81-71 M operated by metro Prague. UniControls also delivered the control system for the modernized version of these trainsets.
This project became an important reference for other contracts in Russia, e.g. current delivery of traction units for metro in Kazan.
