Since 1991, the joint-stock company UniControls has operated as a system integrator with its own development capacities in industrial control systems, avionic applications and transportation.

Train management, diagnostics and control system - UniTrack

The train management, diagnostics and control system UniTrack represents a set of means covering a full range of control management tasks in railway vehicles. The system fully complies with technical IEC, EN and UIC standards (e.g. IEC 61375-1, EN 50155, UIC 556).

We are able to offer solutions for EMUs, DEMUs, locos and high-speed trains. Our performance has been confirmed by numerous customers' references, highly appreciating the advantages of TCN communication, reliability and the modern concept of a decentralised modular system. The QMS is certified to ISO 9001:2001.

UniTrack consists of:

• Powerful microprocessor for demanding control algorithms
• Dedicated microcontroller for communication protocol stacks
• UniCAP software for developing user applications according to IEC 61131-3
• Monitoring and diagnostic system (MDS) platform according to UIC 557
• Embedded Linux OS
• MVB, CANOpen, Ethernet and RS232/422/485 interfaces

UniTrack, in combination with other UniControls products, represents a complete modular flexible on-board system for trains, underground trains and trams.

UIC Gateway (WTB / MVB, WTB / CAN) for rail communication systems

The UIC Gateway is the basic component for communication in trains and features single or redundant gateways in one rack. The UIC Gateway manages redundant data transfer between all devices in trains and vehicle computers in compliance with IEC 61375-1. At the beginning of 2005, the UIC Gateway was internationally certified according to UIC 556.

MVB / VME interface boards

MVB / VME interface 3U boards are designed to connect a redundant MVB bus.

Modular traction unit – UniDrive

UniDrive is a modular traction drive control unit designed for the control of both DC and asynchronous traction drives. The unit contains the latest types of signal processors and has a sufficient computing margin to perform relating functions (e.g. anti-skid protection, control of brake converters and interactions between the inverters).

Research and development

UniControls has been developing its own research and development base since the company was founded. Our own R&D center allows UniControls to manufacture hi-tech products and be flexible for customers' special needs.
