Since 1983, Leroy Automation has been designing, manufacturing and marketing automation products for railways, the military and industry systems. Especially designed for harsh conditions, our products are suitable for hard electromagnetic environments, extreme thermal situations and high-vibration applications. EN50155-certified embedded PLC for train control and management systems (TCMS)Since 1997, Leroy Automation has produced 24,000 RIOM. The current RIOM range is the third generation of models. The full Ethernet-compliant fourth-generation range is currently in production. RIOM is an EN50155-certified embedded PLC designed to be integrated into TCMS. It can control local automatisms, command gateways or supervision functions: air conditioning, doors, brakes, auxiliaries and fire security. Equipment monitoring for trains' serial or CAN networksRIOM provides the monitoring of equipment on serial or CAN networks. The connection to the upper level can be via multi-function vehicle bus (MVB) or Ethernet. RIOM MVB is included in the Alstom AGATE Link system, contributes to the brake-monitoring system of Barcelona's metro cars and is integrated in an SIL2 system. 24V or 72V-110V train PLC productsThe power supplies for our PLC products are 24V or 72V-110V. The CPU board has one MVB or Ethernet channel, one CAN 2.0 channel and two asynchronous serial links. The protocols on Ethernet are CIP EtherNet/IP or Modbus/TCP. IO boards for train PLC productsIn a box format, the RIOM can accept two IO boards. Each IO board has 32 digital inputs (24V or 72V-110V and 10mA) and 16 digital relay outputs (8A and 30VCC to 0.4A and 110VCC). We can add an optional board with four asynchronous RS232/RS485 serial links, four analogue inputs (±10V, ±20mA and 12-bit) and four analogue outputs (0V-10V, 0mA-20mA and 12-bit). Programming for train PLC productsThe programming for our train PLC products is in IEC61331-3 languages with Isagraf V5 workbench or C language with the Linux SDK. EN50155-certified Ethernet remote terminal for rail applicationsBRIO is an EN50155-certified remote terminal linked to Ethernet networks for embedded railway applications. BRIO is a 36mm wide x 262mm high x 183mm deep board in an IP30 metallic cassette. The power supply is 24V or 72V-110V and 20W. Communication is via one 10Mb/100Mb base T Ethernet TCP-UDP/IP channel and one RS232 serial maintenance link. The protocols on Ethernet are CIP EtherNet/IP or Modbus/TCP. BRIO possesses 40 digital inputs (72V-110V or 24V and 10mA) and ten relay outputs (8A on 30VCC or 0.4A on 110VCC). Secure PLC for rail-substation energy managementThe ACS range of PLCs is suitable for high-voltage switch management in electrical substations. Input/output blocks are designed to control circuit breakers, switches and isolating switches. Since 1997 the French national railway company (SNCF) has fitted its substations with the WorldFIP version of ACS. 3U 19in-rack PLC for rail substationsACS is a PLC in 3U 19in racks. It can accept up to 47 boards with six extension racks. The IO connection is via a plug-in screw terminal. The operating temperature is -25°C / +70°C. Power voltage is 120VDC, 48VDC or 24VDC. The CPU board has one deterministic FIP channel or one Ethernet TCP/IP slave and master Modbus TCP channel (DNP3 in progress); three RS232/RS485 serial channels; and one USB maintenance link.  The secure input/output block can control four high-voltage switches with two relay outputs (open/close) and two inputs (opened/closed). The command of the open relay outputs is four times redundant. Programming for rail-substation PLCsACS can be programmed by the Linux software development kit in C language or by the Isagraf V5 workbench in IEC61131-3 languages.
