EKE-Trainnet® Coach Computers and TCN Gateways for New CFR Sleeping Coaches

EKE-Electronics Ltd. will deliver coach computers and TCN gateway solutions to CFR Calatori's (Romanian Railways) new sleeping coaches, manufactured by S.C. Astra Vagoane Calatori S.A.
New CFR passenger sleeping coaches are state-of-the-art, equipped with coach computers for diagnostics and sub-system control. The coach data transmission is compliant with new generation CFR passenger fleets over WTB train buses.
The new coaches are equipped with fully automatic passenger information systems and are connected to the coach-to-depot modem. The train-borne data transmission system is used to transmit diagnostics data to maintenance depot over CFR's WLAN depot network. The same data transmission system is also used for downloading timetable data for automatic passenger information systems.
