Webro Receives First Worldwide Cabelcon Training Certification

29 March 2010

A Nottingham-based cable and connectors firm has become the first company in the world to be officially trained by Corning Cabelcon.

Webro, a leading supplier of composite and bespoke communication cables and connectors, flew three senior members of its sales team to the Cabelcon Connectors headquarters in Denmark recently to carry out two days of intensive product training. Andy Watts, Chris Watterson and Richard Woodburn are now qualified to train the trainers, to train the installers in connectorisation techniques.

Webro has been a Cabelcon partner for more than 10 years, supplying its connectors to the TV and satellite industry. Andy Watts, marketing director at Webro and one of the team to complete the training, commented, "Well over half of the system problems reported to us are due to the installation of poor quality connectors or connectors that have been fitted incorrectly. To be the first Cabelcon partner company globally to be officially certified to carry out its connectorisation training recognises the top quality products and matching standard of service Webro has to offer."

Webro has conducted many training seminars both to companies and individuals in order to promote the correct preparation methods, tooling and techniques in the art of connectorisation across the TV and satellite industry, the security industry and the rail industry.

Andy added, "we have worked closely with Cabelcon Connectors for a number of years, supplying its products and with this new qualification we are able to provide an even more comprehensive service to our customers."
