Low-smoke no-halogen (LSNH) cables

LSNH sheathing saves lives in the event of a fire. It has been found that 80% more people die from suffocation than from actual poisoning or the fire itself. This is due to the gases which emerge from every fire, especially the extremely dangerous, invisible, inodorous and tasteless gas carbon monoxide.

Cable runs can aid in the rapid spread of fire throughout a building. A single cable installed vertically will direct a fire upwards and burn very fast as a chimney effect is created (supported by hot gases and an upwards-turned air stream).

This is even more the case with bundles of cable: whilst a tight and compact bundle behaves in a similar way to a single cable, the fastest and most fierce burning of all will occur when the spacing between single cables in a bunch is similar to the OD of the cables.

Fire-prevention cable arrangement

The precise arrangement of cables has a considerable influence on burning behaviour: cables laid horizontally do not spread fire as quickly.

75Ω rack wiring coaxial cables

Webro's 75Ω rack wiring coaxial cables in type one LSNH sheaths are ideal for racks, due to the smaller bend-radius and easier handling also due to the smaller OD it is ideal for heavily populated racks. Connectors and preparation tools are available for these cables.

75Ω coaxial cables

Our 75Ω coaxial cables are ideal for use on CCTV systems available in section 12 type two and LSNH type one versions for above ground stations. Connectors and preparation tools are available for these cables.

These cables, and all the cables below, have a toughened sheath for external use or areas where standing water may cause problems.

50Ω coaxial cables

Our 50Ω coaxial cables are developed specifically for radio system use on the London Underground. They are available in section 12 type two and type one LSNH sheaths.

Fibre-optic accessories

We produce IP66-rated fibre connection boxes with fused spur. They feature eight-way and 24-way splice trays, and eight-way and 24-way patch panels.

Data cables

Category 5e UTP and FTP data cable versions are available in section 12 type 2 and LSNH type 1 versions for above-ground stations.

Fire alarm cables
