01 March 2010

Nottingham-based supplier of specialist communications cables, Webro, has appointed a new business manager to grow the company's diverse client portfolio.

The leading supplier of composite and bespoke communication cables and connecters chose Chris Bacon to develop cable solution sales throughout the UK, as Webro's managing director, Roger Webster explains.

"We are delighted to welcome Chris to the Webro team. He stood out amongst other talented professionals because of his 15 years' industry experience. His enthusiasm and commitment is sure to make him an invaluable part of Webro's future successes."

Webro was established in 1980 by Roger Webster and has since gone from strength-to-strength, currently supplying high quality products and services to the UK's top five TV and satellite distributors, big name hotel chains, caravan sites, and high security systems for the Highways Agency and the London Underground network.

New business manager Chris Bacon, who lives in Lancashire with his wife and two children, is looking forward to the challenge of adding to the already comprehensive list of Webro customers, as he explains: "I'm really excited to be working for such a prestigious name in the industry. My principal focus will be to identify and develop sales opportunities in data networking, high temperature, industrial and telecoms sectors as part of the Webro sales team."

Before joining Webro, Chris worked for Volex, Cable Design Technologies, Belden, Lapp and Panduit, where he became skilled in production control, process improvement, business development, technical and design fields, and sales management in relation to the cables and connectivity industry.
