Ultra-Slim Relay For Railway Application

Phoenix Contact has developed new slim PLC-...RW relays extending their PLC-INTERFACE relay series. The 6.2mm or 14mm slim relays are especially designed for railway applications and they are certified according to EN50155.
Due to the special wide range voltage input, these relays offer a number of additional advantages:
- Control voltage ranges from 70% to 125% of the nominal voltage range - independent of environmental temperature and load
- Extremely low self heating treatment
- Huge environmental temperature range from -40°C to +70°C - independent of control voltage and load
These relays are currently available for control voltages of 24V, 72V and 110V - further voltages can be delivered on request. In addition, high current and two change-over contact versions are provided.
The relays provide the highest reliability even during increased vibration. For optimal protection against dust, moisture or aggressive gases, the relay housing is sealed up to protection class RTIII.
All the other advantages of the PLC series, such as the versatile and vibration-proven bridging system, are found here too. This bridging can be used on control and / or contact side. Up to 80 relays can be connected with each other - fast, easy and error free. With this innovation, Phoenix Contact continues their high standard for vibration-proven connection technology in the traffic engineering market.
