New – Bolt Connection Technology from Phoenix Contact for Railway Applications

The RT Ring Lug Terminal product line, approved for use in railway applications through EN 50155 certification, extends the Clipline complete modular terminal block system from Phoenix Contact to include sturdy bolt connection technology for wiring cables with ring cable lugs.
The RT family combines this connection technology, which is established in the American market, with the advantages of the Clipline complete system, which stands out because of its easy potential distribution over plug-in bridges, large labeling surfaces with universal center marking, as well as uniform testing accessories.
The RT family includes feed-through and ground terminal blocks for cables with ring cable lugs from 1.5mm² to 35mm². Also, there are disconnect terminal blocks to attach transformers for use in supplying power. The touch protection is also very practical.
The cap nuts cannot be lost as they are built into the pivoting hinge flaps. They can be tightened with commercially available screwdrivers and are positioned exactly over the ring lugs when the flaps are folded down. If parts must not be touch-protected, then the more affordable RTO series with the same contours can be used.
