Ressorts Masselin - Springs and Anti-Roll Bars for the Railway Industry

Ressorts Masselin is a producer of a wide range of springs manufactured to customer standards. Our solutions include standalone suspension springs, complete work packages for the brake applications as well as ARB anti-roll bars.

We manufacture all springs according to stringent quality requirements, such as ISO 9001 standards, and are working towards achieving IRIS certification.

Our long experience as well as our extended product range in railway spring applications enables us to supply serial and aftermarket parts worldwide.

Hot-rolled suspension springs

Springs for bogie applications are designed by our engineering department before they are manufactured in our factory to be able to handle all springs up to 94mm bar diameter. Shotpeening and powder coating is done in-house according to railway standards.

Springs can be shipped out as single units, as coupled pairs or even including rubber pads.

Cold-rolled springs for break and current capture mechanisms

Springs from 0.2mm to 20mm are usually cold rolled for applications in brake and current capture mechanisms. These springs are manufactured in a large range of raw materials, including EN spring steel grades, titanium and inconel, and are often delivered as kits comprising assembled mechanical fittings.

For shorter prototyping lead times, most accessories are manufactured in-house in our mechanical workshop, which completes our spring manufacturing capabilities.

Anti-roll bars

The anti-roll bar manufacturing line completes our product range and has allowed us to become a real partner for all suspension applications. Our scope of supply enables us to participate at the very early stages of the projects by the engineering phase. Once the design freeze has been agreed, we manufacture the bars in-house and purchase equipments such as levers, which can be shrinked to fit.

Custom track parts

Our knowledge of other industrial applications has led us to manufacture a wide range of custom springs aside from the standard coiled springs (compression, torsion and traction). Our custom springs are in the category of hot formed parts and are mostly used for track applications, but in some cases can be found on some brake applications.
