Тема: Bearings for wheel-motor blocks of locomotivesBearings for wheel-motor blocks of locomotives The article "Use the right bearings" was published in the magazine "Locomotive" No. 7, 2007. It described the marking of bearings for wheel-motor units (axle boxes, traction gearboxes, traction motors) of electric trains, and provided recommendations for their purchase and revision. Responding to the requests of our readers, we provide similar information for similar components of locomotives and traction generators. By the middle of 2007, approximately 94% of bearings used in wheel-motor units (KMB) of Russian serial locomotives were manufactured by enterprises of domestic industry and neighboring countries (Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus). The products are manufactured according to the following special specifications (TU) for railway rolling stock: TU VNIPP.048-1-00 "Rolling bearings for railway rolling stock. Ball bearings, cylindrical and spherical roller bearings" (basic technical specifications); TU VNIPP.072-01 "Rolling bearings for high-quality railway rolling stock"; TU VNIPP.051-99 "Rolling bearings for experimental units of railway rolling stock"; TU 37.551.00018—92 "Radial roller bearings with short cylindrical rollers, supplied instead of imported bearings for completing wheel-motor blocks of electric locomotives of the CHS series"; TU 37.551.00019—94 "Radial roller bearings with short cylindrical rollers for traction electric motors of high-speed electric locomotives". It should be recalled that these technical specifications are additions to the general machine-building GOST 520 "Rolling bearings. General technical specifications" and contain special requirements for bearings of critical components of railway rolling stock. Technical specifications for them significantly tighten the requirements of this GOST for the material, accuracy, roughness, microstructure of the material of the parts of the mentioned elements, acceptance, control methods and manufacturer's guarantees. The installation of domestic bearings in the KMB locomotives, manufactured according to the technical requirements of GOST 520, may lead to a decrease in the operability of these critical components. Products from Slovakia, Germany and other manufacturers are also used in the KMB of locomotives of the CS and CME series. This is mainly due to the irregular supply of domestic bearings for the needs of Russian Railways. In some cases, foreign analogues, for example, NH1060MC3 and NU1060MC3, manufactured in Slovakia, have recently been used due to the insufficient operability of domestic 20-62160LM elements in the traction gear bearings of electric locomotives of the CS7, CS6 series. ![]() ![]() ![]() Notes. 1. Earlier, GPZ-1 produced experimental batches of bearings according to TU 37.551.00018—92, they are not mass-produced. At the same time, there are known examples of low reliability of imported bearings in the KMB units of domestic locomotives. So, in 2003 — 2004, failures of 23956 CC4W33 (Timken-Romania) elements in the traction gear support of electric locomotives of the CS2, CS2T series on the West Siberian and Oktyabrskaya roads were recorded. Therefore, the installation of foreign products must be coordinated with the Department of Locomotive Engineering of JSC Russian Railways. The list of bearings from Russian manufacturers and their foreign counterparts used in the KMB units of locomotives is presented in the table. The labeling of domestic products manufactured according to railway specifications for locomotives, as well as recommendations for the purchase of new bearings and revisions of used ones, correspond to the data provided in the Locomotive magazine No. 7,2007.
