Roundel

Roundel. In some sources roundel is a substitute for Lens. For AAR the lens is an object that collects light rays from signal lamps and thereby creates a beam of light. While the roundel is an object that spreads, deflects or provides color for that light beam and thereby produces a pattern (AAR 19 65, 52, 83) .
