Car Derailment at Korfovskaya Station on the Far Eastern Railway on January 24, 2026
The incident occurred on January 24 at approximately 8:00 a.m. at Korfovskaya Station on the Far Eastern Railway. Sixteen coal cars derailed, 10 of which overturned. The train was traveling from Petrovsky Zavod Station in Zabaikalsky Krai to Nakhodka-Vostochnaya Station in Primorye.
According to preliminary information, there are no injuries. Train service on this section has been temporarily suspended. A recovery train has been dispatched to the scene.
Passenger trains are running on schedule.
The cause of the incident is being investigated.
