EMERGENCY SITUATIONS WITH SLIDING AUTOMATIC DOORS
AND RETRACTABLE FOOTFOOT
Electric trains of the Lastochka family use sets of automatic doors from three manufacturers, namely BODE (a subsidiary of Schaltbau, Kassel, Germany), JSC Steklomash (Orekhovo-Zuevo, Moscow region) and JSC PF KMT (Saint Petersburg).
If a BODE door malfunctions (does not open, does not close, or is stuck in an intermediate position):
- & reboot the automatic safety switch (APS), perform a door closing-opening cycle;
- & if the reboot does not help, turn off the CBA, close the door leaves manually and rotate the closer installed on the door drive electric motor to reach the final position, then turn on the CBA;
- & lock the door with a special key.
- If a car door manufactured by Steklomash is faulty:
- reboot the CBA, perform a door closing-opening cycle;
- 'Ъ if the reboot did not help, turn off the CBA and close the door leaves manually, then turn on the CBA;
- 'Ъ check the closure of the limit switches; lock the door with a special key.
In the event of a malfunction of a car door manufactured by the KMT company:
% reboot the CBA, perform a door closing-opening cycle;
% if the reboot does not help, turn off the CBA and close the door leaves manually, then turn on the CBA;
% check the closure of the limit switches, in case of non-closure, press with force “from yourself” on the locking roller bracket;
lock the door with a special key.
If an electrical circuit malfunction occurs (hinge malfunction) of the car door, you must:
& make sure the door is closed and the footrest is securely locked in the retracted position;
& mechanically lock the faulty door;
& close the doors from the driver’s console (the central control unit (CCU) system must receive a signal to lock the doors);
& press and hold the “Unlock” button when placing the controller in traction and braking. By pressing this button, the open blocking contact 3.01.K15, which is responsible for the door hinge, is bypassed, as a result of which a “positive” power supply circuit for the contactor 1.02.K08 “Unlocking TP traction” is created. The “Move blocking release” mode must be used with full control of the auto doors by the locomotive crew, eliminating the risk of pinching and injury to passengers.
Actions of the locomotive crew in the event of a logic circuit malfunction (lack of communication between the microprocessor control and diagnostic system (MCCSiD) and the door control unit):
4x make sure the door is closed and the footrest is securely locked in the retracted position;
4x mechanically lock the faulty door;
& close the doors from the driver’s console (the CBU system must receive a signal to block the doors);
press and release the “Unlock” button. The mode turns off automatically after the train stops or the controller is not put into traction within 15 s. Thus, a signal is sent to the BUK, which creates a “negative” power supply circuit for contactor 1.02.K08 “Unlocking TP traction”.

In case of critical malfunctions of the footrests, an emergency footrest limiter is provided, which is used in the following cases:
when closing from the driver's console, the step does not retract completely;
the footrest does not lock in the closed position;
in other cases, at the discretion of the driver, if there are serious reasons to believe that further operation of the step may threaten the health and life of people or cause material damage to the property of the company, as well as third parties.
Using the lock is only possible after the footrest and its fourth step have been completely retracted. To lock the footrest using the emergency switch:
& remove the protective plug from the emergency stop lock;
& use a special key to turn the emergency stop lock clockwise by 90°. There should be a clicking sound;
<? insert the protective plug back.
In case of emergency situations with the running boards along the route (in the absence of power to the running board drive), an emergency release lock is provided.
To clean the footrest you need:
- reload the CBA of this door and perform its closing-opening cycle;
- if the reboot does not help, turn off the CBA of this door;
- set the footrest mode switch to the “1-non-working state” position;
- remove the protective plug from the emergency release lock, use a special key to turn the lock counterclockwise by 90°, then pull it towards you and turn it back clockwise by 90°, thereby locking it in the open position;
- raise the fourth step and smoothly push in the footrest block while holding the fourth step;
- turn the emergency door release lock counterclockwise by 90°, after which it will return to its original (locked) state under the action of springs, and then turn the lock clockwise by 90° to its original position. To check that the leg is securely fixed, pull it forcefully towards you;
- Set the footrest operating mode switch to the “2-working state” position for further operation of the footrest in normal mode, or to the “1-non-working state” position to take the footrest out of operation. In this case, the automatic door will continue to operate normally;
- enable CBA or reboot it if CBA has not been disabled previously.
To extend the footrest you must:
reboot the CBA of this door, perform its closing-opening cycle;
b if the reboot does not help, turn off the CBA of this door;
b put the footrest mode switch to the “1-non-working state” position;
remove the protective plug from the emergency release lock. Using a special key, turn the lock counterclockwise by 90°, then pull it towards you and turn it back clockwise by 90°, thereby locking it in the open position;
b After unlocking the lock, smoothly pull out the footrest block; turn the emergency door release lock counterclockwise by 90°, after which it will return to its original locked state under the action of the springs. Next, you need to turn the lock clockwise 90° to its original position. To check that the footrest is securely fixed, push it with force away from you;
b put the footrest operating mode switch to the “2-working state” position for further operation of the footrest in normal mode, or to the “1-non-working state” position to take the footrest out of operation;
enable CBA or reboot it if CBA has not been disabled previously.
If the footrest is blocked by mistake, use a 10 mm wrench to remove the left cover under the footrest box by unscrewing 10 bolts, then pull the latch to the left to disengage the emergency stop tooth and at the same time turn the shaft clockwise 90°.
If the emergency release lock (red round push switch) is faulty and it is impossible to push the step in, use a 10 mm wrench to remove the right cover under the step box by unscrewing 7 bolts, disengage the bolt and push in the step, then lock it with the emergency stop ( left lock).
Operation of retractable steps manufactured by OJSC PF KMT.
If the step malfunctions along the way (does not close or open):
- ft reload the CBA of this door and carry out a closing-opening cycle of the door;
- ft if the reboot does not help, turn off the CBA of this door;
- ft using a special key, turn the footrest locking device clockwise by 90°, thereby unlocking the footrest for manual extension;
- ft manually smoothly push in (pull out) the footrest;
- ft using a special key, turn the footrest locking device counterclockwise by 90°, thereby locking the footrest in the closed (open) state. To check that the footrest is securely fixed, you need to pull it towards you or push it with force;
- ft after retracting the step, set the operating mode switch of the step to the “0-working state” position for further operation of the step in the normal mode, or “2-non-working state” to take the step out of operation;
- ft turn off the CBA of this door;
- ft when removing the step from operation, mechanically lock the car door.
The procedure for the locomotive crew to act in the event of a malfunction of the door unlock switch.
If it is impossible to unlock the doors on the entire side of the train due to a malfunction of the door unlock switch, in order to board a low platform, you must:
F minimize the number of doors that will be unlocked during boarding in agreement with the head of the train, who informs the conductors about the procedure for boarding and disembarking;
(D after the train stops, the assistant driver opens the required door with the emergency opening lever so that the button on the door lights up red;
Then the assistant driver manually opens the step using the emergency release lock:
E> it is necessary to remove the protective plug from the emergency release lock, use a special key to turn the lock counterclockwise by 90°, then pull it towards you and turn it back clockwise by 90°, thereby locking it in the open position;
E> manually smoothly extend the footrest and, if necessary, the fourth step;
E> use a special key to turn the locking device counterclockwise by 90°, and then back 90° clockwise to the normal position, locking the step;
E> check the reliability of the footrest fixation by pushing it with force away from you;
® you need to manually move the car door wings apart, after which you can begin boarding passengers;
(D this procedure is performed on each door that needs to be opened;
® after completing the boarding of passengers on the MPSUiD monitor, close the banner about the emergency closure of car doors, use the “Enter” key on the “Door status” tab to check the box that appears “Remove the door from the emergency state” to close the doors and steps.
On electric trains of the ES2GP series with steps manufactured by OJSC PF KMT, in order to extend them, it is necessary to turn off the Doors, and the doors are closed manually.
Given enough time, you can activate the head cabin and, accordingly, activate the tail one to control the doors and steps. After deactivating the cabin, it is important not to forget to perform a short brake test in manual mode.
If it is impossible to unlock the automatic doors on the entire side of the train due to a malfunction of the door release switch, boarding on a high platform must be agreed upon with the train manager, who instructs the conductors on the procedure for opening the doors using the emergency release lever and then opening the doors manually. After boarding passengers on the MPSUiD monitor, you need to close the banner about the emergency opening of auto doors and use the “Enter” key on the “Door status” tab to check the box that appears “Remove the door from an emergency state” to close the doors.
If it is impossible to lock the doors on the entire side of the train due to a malfunction of the door unlock switch, in order to remove the steps and close them, you must turn off and on ABA 5.08.F04 “Unlocking doors”, located in cabinet No. 115.
