Three empty freight train cars derailed in the Leningrad Region. Investigators are investigating the possibility of sabotage, Governor Alexander Drozdenko announced.
"Law enforcement agencies are working in the Luzhsky District: empty tank cars of an empty freight train derailed on the Stroganovo-Mshinskaya section. Investigators are investigating the possibility of sabotage. Bomb disposal experts are currently working at the scene of the incident," Drozdenko wrote on his Telegram channel.
Commuter trains on the Siverskaya-Luga section have been cancelled. Delays are possible for long-distance freight and passenger trains.
