Ghana to Receive Loan from China Exim Bank

China Exim Bank has approved a loan to Ghana for the development of the nation's rail network.

Ghana will receive a total of $10.4bn towards the infrastructure development, of which $4bn will be allocated towards the development of a new railway system.

The proposed system will begin from Kumasi in south central Ghana to Paga, a town in the north of the region.

The project is expected to open up the eastern, middle and northern parts of Ghana for accelerated development, according to Ghana News Agency.
