GE Transportation will launch its PowerHaul series locomotive at the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology 2010 trade show in Berlin, Germany.
The company said the locomotive includes a 16-cylinder 3,700GHP PowerHaul engine, which can reduce fuel consumption and emissions by about 9%.
The locomotive has advanced dynamic braking, easy-to-read gauges, dual air-conditioning with an ergonomically designed cab.
The PowerHaul series is also compliant with EU Stage IIIa emissions standards and features a flexible platform that can adapt to local requirements.
