Bombardier to Unveil New High-Speed Trains at InnoTrans

Bombardier Transportation will unveil its Zefiro family of high-speed trains at InnoTrans 2010, to be held from 21-24 September in Berlin, Germany.

The company will also unveil three new Bombardier ECO4 energy-saving solutions, propulsion, bogies, signalling technology and intelligent maintenance solutions during the event.

The company will display the first full -cale model of the Zefiro380 high-speed train with 3D displays of the interior.

Zefiro trains can operate at speeds of about 380km/h due to the application of ECO4 technologies, such as AeroEfficient Optimized Train Shaping, to reduce drag and ensure stability at high speeds.

The company's other new trains on display will include the ALP-45 dual power locomotive, Traxx diesel and multi-system locomotives, an Itino vehicle with CLEAN diesel-powered technology and a new Movia metro train.
