Britain's railways saw record punctuality in August with 94.2% of trains running on time, according to a report by Network Rail.
The monthly train performance report revealed that ten of the 19 operators saw their performance improve compared with the same period last year.
Arriva Trains Wales recorded 95.7% punctuality, c2c Rail 98.8% and Chiltern 96.4%.
Virgin Rail recorded 93% punctuality, a 3.4% rise compared with the same period last year.
