Preparatory work for construction on the 3.6km metro line 2 in Málaga, Spain, will soon begin with the installation of underground tracks.
Other works on the line include the installation of pipelines and electrical systems, according to theleader.info.
The second phase of the project will involve the replacement of sleepers along the line.
A series of platform doors with preventive track measures and glass partitions will be installed at El Torcal and La Luz-La Paz stations.
Nearly 20 companies will bid for the €153m ($190.38m) contract for the supply and installation of underground systems to the underground metro, which will enter into service by November 2011.
