China CNR Wins Urban Rail Transit Contract

China CNR and its subsidiary, CNR International Economic and Trading (CRCCIETC), has been awarded a contract to build urban rail transits in Morelia and Zacatecas, Mexico.

The Chinese firm will work with Mexican company PCZ Construcciones on the project.

The project is estimated to cost $500m, according to capitalvue.com.

Under the contract, China CNR will be responsible for the engineering, design and production of the trains, while CRCCIETC will be responsible for rail infrastructure projects.

PCZ will supply the materials for the project and is expected to provide about $120m for the project.
