India and Sri Lanka to Sign Rail Contract

Sri Lanka and India will sign an agreement to reconstruct the Northern Railway Line in Sri Lanka.

Under the agreement, India will reconstruct the railway line between Medawachchiya and Thalaimannar at a cost of over $231m.

The construction work will be carried out by the Indian Railway Construction Company, according to slbc.lk.
