Australia to Add New Services to Caboolture Line

10 August 2010

The Australian state of Queensland is planning to add additional services to the Caboolture train line across the TransLink network to encourage more people to use the service.

The Caboolture line will have new morning and afternoon peak services to accommodate 7,500 additional passengers.

As part of the state's programme to adopt green measures, the services will see 3,100 cars taken off major roads.

The move is seen as part of an initiative to improve services, as well as ease congestion on the busiest line on the network.
