Vossloh Wins Rail Network Contracts in Libya

German-based Vossloh has won two contracts to construct rail networks in Libya.

The contracts are being delivered on behalf of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation.

Vossloh will supply rail fastening systems and switches for around 1,300km of the rail network.

The total contract value is worth €115m ($151.4m), with the fastenings contract worth €37m ($48.8m) and the switch system contract valued at €78m ($103.6m).

Vossloh will build two lines, one along the country's Mediterranean coastline to connect Tunisia and Egypt, and the second will be an inland rail line.
