Mobistar has signed a third extension of a contract to supply converging telecommunication services to Belgian railways operator SNCB-NMBS.
The contract includes fixed and mobile voice and data applications such as IBIS, ticketing and on-board payment services.
The expanded contract has a provision for 6,000 M2M SIM cards to track and trace the engine fleet and to deliver 16,500 SIM cards to enable voice traffic between SNCB-NMBS group staff.
A call centre was also opened for reservations and/or information related to international train traffic.
