Turkey's state-run rail operator is planning to start high-speed train services between Ankara and the central province of Konya by the end of this year.
The 306km rail line is the second phase of Turkey's high-speed railway network, according to worldbulletin.net.
Infrastructure works will be completed in a month and the superstructure is expected to be finished in the next two months.
The rail project is estimated to cost TRY805m ($522m) and is intended to reduce travel time from ten hours to 75min.
