Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has received a INR121bn ($2.6bn) contract to build and operate a metro rail in Hyderabad, India.
The 71k-long elevated metro rail project will have 66 stations and is expected to be completed within five years, according to af.reuters.com.
India-based L&T will provide 30% of the project cost and is scheduled to make financial closure within six months.
Federal and state governments will provide up to 40% of the funding.
