Spain's national operator, RENFE, has launched its new Class 112 high-speed train in Madrid.
A total of 30 Class 112 trains have been ordered from Talgo and Bombardier for the Madrid-Valencia high-speed line, which is due to open later this year.
The 200m-long trains will have two power cars and 12 trailers, which offer 365 seats compared to the 316 of the Talgo/Bombardier Class 102 from which it has been developed.
Each Bo-Bo power car has four asynchronous traction motors supported by one IGBT converter per bogie, according to railwaygazette.com.
The 322t train is expected to have only two classes, tourist and club, and has a maximum speed of 330km/h.
