Sixty passengers were killed and more than 400 were injured as a train jumped off the track and plunged into a ravine in the Congo Republic on Monday 21 June.
Rail operator Chemin de Fer Congo-Ocean said the train derailed near Yanga station on its way from the coastal town of Pointe-Noire to the capital, Brazzaville.
Excess speed has been determined as the cause of the accident, according to Reuters.
Sixty bodies have been recovered from the area and approximately 450 passengers are undergoing treatment after sustaining injuries.
The 500km poorly maintained railway line linking Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire was built during the 1920s and 1930s.
