The Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union in the UK says that plans to turn all trains on the London Underground system to a driverless network will affect safety.
The Conservative Party is planning to switch to a completely driverless train network to save ВЈ141m ($209m) a year in wages and prevent strike action, according to a BBC report.
RMT said the proposed plan will sack all the 3,525 train drivers and operators on the tube system.
The Conservative Party said driverless trains would end the stranglehold unions have on the city's tube network and curtail their ability to bring London to a standstill.
