Parsons Brinckerhoff Wins Rail Transit Depot Contract

Parsons Brinckerhoff has received a contract to provide architectural and engineering design services for a new depot in Tuas, Singapore.

The new train and vehicle service facility is expected to support the ongoing expansion of the Singapore mass rapid transit system.

The depot will have the capacity to stabilise, maintain and overhaul 60 six-car metro train sets along with maintenance locomotives, wagons and specialist vehicles.

US-based Parsons Brinckerhoff is also expected to handle the functional and equipment planning for the depot.

The work will include project safety review, system assurance, electromagnetic compatibility, value engineering and interface management.
