JR Kyushu and Patni Sign JV to Form New IT Services Company

The Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu) and Patni Computer Systems (Patni) have signed a joint venture pact to form a new company, JR Kyushu Patni Systems.

The new company is a 51:49 partnership between JR Kyushu System Solutions, the IT systems arm of JR Kyushu, and Patni Computer Systems Japan, the Japanese arm of India-based Patni.

JR Kyushu Patni Systems will offer IT services and product engineering to the Japanese enterprise market, according to Patni.

The joint venture company is also expected to cover other Asian markets in the future.
