A station set to be a passenger hub during the 2012 Olympics in London will not receive international services from train operator Eurostar.
Other international operators are in talks to use the ВЈ210m ($302m) Stratford International station in east London although they will not start using it until after the games.
The minutes of a UK Department for Transport meeting, obtained by the BBC, said Eurostar decided not to commence international services from the station.
Stratford International was built alongside Stratford London Underground station and was designed to accommodate high-speed international trains.
During the games, Southeastern rail was set to connect incoming overseas rail passengers with high-speed Javelin trains out of the station.
The UK's Olympic Delivery Authority estimates 40,000 people are going to use the Javelin trains every day during the games.
