Moroccon national railway Office National des Chemins de fer (ONCF) has selected a consortium led by French consultancy Systra to construct the southern section of the Tanger–Kénitra line.

The 200km line contract will be part of the MAD20bn ($2.2bn) Tanger–Casablanca high-speed rail project.

The 49-month contract includes assisting with the awarding of contracts for the 110km of line to Kénitra, where the tracks will connect with an upgraded existing route.
