Greece to Tender 2012 Rail Projects

The Greek Government said tenders for rail projects worth €10.3bn ($12.6bn) will be launched by the transportation ministry up until 2012.

The projects include a new line for the Athens metro system.

Six stations are also expected to be added to the network by March 2011, according to ana-mpa.gr.

Two stations are scheduled to open on the metro by September this year.
